MULTIPLE USES - As this product is a topical agent and used to numb skin, it can be used for other applications such as waxing, piercings, laser hair removal, tattoo removal, cosmetic tattooing etc.
Steps for use;
- Wash the area to be tattooed, lasered or pierced thoroughly with soap and warm water to remove dirt and dead skin. This will help the cream penetrate. Dry area completely.
- Apply a thick amount of numbing cream (2mm thick) to the appropriate area. For best results, apply an extra centimetre of cream in diameter to give you and your artist more pain-free wiggle room.
- Cover with cling wrap. The heat under the plastic wrap helps activate the cream and keeps it from drying out. Use tape to secure the edges of the cling wrap, as this will prevent your cream moving around, which will greatly increase the numbing effect.
- Leave cream and wrap in place for 90 minutes before procedure.
- After 90 minutes, remove the cling film and wipe the cream away with a paper towel and you’re ready for your pain free tattoo!
BULLETPROOF TIPS:
- One tube of cream is typically enough to cover the average forearm (20-25cm long). Our bundle deal of 5 tubes is perfect for those of you who are working on larger pieces, or get tattooed regularly!
- If you are tattooing a sensitive area (e.g ribs, or collarbone) we advise to use an extra half or full tube, as areas that aren't as smooth and/or have more nerve endings, need that extra bit of cream for increased absorption.
- If you are sitting for a long session working with an existing, larger tattoo, check in with your artist on which area they plan to start in.
Instead of numbing a large area at once, you can apply cream to the first half of your tattoo before your appointment. Once your artist has started working on that, you can apply another tube of cream to your second half to ensure the numbing effect is at its peak efficiency by the time you get to that point.
